Join the staff of an active, service-oriented public library. This position includes staffing the public service desk, collection development, and maintaining a community organizations database. This position is also responsible for coordinating and developing the Department’s on-site patron programming, including moderating a current events discussion group, and outreach as assigned. Schedule is 37.5 hours per week, includes evening and weekend hours. Additional evening or weekend hours may be required to perform programming/outreach activities.

Requirements

Masters in Library Science from an ALA accredited school required.

Candidate must have an interest in technology, strong public speaking skills, initiative, and a commitment to providing excellent public service. Outreach and/or programming experience a plus.

Salary

$46,300 per year; plus benefits and IMRF
