Youth Programming Librarian | Green Hills Public Library District

Do you have a passion for library programming? Are you looking for the opportunity to create positive library experiences for community members? Green Hills Public Library District is seeking a creative, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic librarian to join the Youth Services Department.  

The main focus of this position is to coordinate and implement programs for children, teens, and families. Our ideal candidate demonstrates knowledge of the recreational and educational needs of the community, can work in a team environment to share program execution, and will be able to successfully develop original and engaging programs. 

In addition to programming efforts, this position also includes participating in collection development, outreach, professional development, and working on the Youth Services Desk.

  • Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program, or degree in progress.  
  • Minimum one year of experience in a library; public library experience with programming preferred. 
  • Minimum one year of experience working with youth. 
  • Valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and access to a vehicle to be used for Library business.  
  • Fluency in Arabic, Polish, or Spanish a plus.  


$23.01-$28.76 per hour; offers are made within this range based on competencies and experience. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
