JobLine

The Library JobLine of Illinois is used by hundreds of job-seekers throughout the state. It is designed to help you locate qualified staff to fill current positions by announcing your job openings to a wide audience of library and information professionals and support staff. If you have any questions, please contact the person or institution listed for more information about the job listing.

  • NEW 2025: Per the Illinois Pay Transparency requirements in effect January 1, 2025, job listings must now include the wage or salary and a general description of benefits and other compensation for the position before ILA can make the listing live.
    • If further details about the listing are available via a link included in the description, so long as the salary and benefits are included on that webpage or PDF, then it does not need to be included in the ILA JobLine post.
  • Your job opening is advertised for $100.
ILA Institutional and Associate Members receive one complimentary job posting per calendar year. To post a job using your membership benefit, follow the steps below under Membership Benefit. If you are unsure if your organization qualifies or if you have already used the benefit, please email ila@ila.org
  • Your job listing will appear on the ILA Web site for 30 days.
