The Illinois Library Association (ILA) Launches Partnership with Amazon Business for Illinois Public Libraries
The Illinois Library Association (ILA) has launched a new partnership with Amazon Business aimed at helping ILA Institutional Member Public Libraries across the state reduce costs. Currently, more than 70% percent of Illinois public libraries have an Amazon account and use it for a wide range of purchases, from birdhouse kits to computer keyboards. Although many libraries would prefer to use Amazon Business Prime, budget constraints often prevent them from doing so. This new program offers a free Amazon Business Prime account to all Illinois Public Libraries that are current ILA Institutional Members. Participation in the program is entirely voluntary (opt-in required) and includes the following benefits:
- A free Amazon Business Prime Account — a value of $1,299/year with up to 100 users
- Discounted pricing up to 15% from Amazon.com
- Fast and free shipping on Prime eligible items
- Pay by invoice option
- $10,000 monthly line of credit with net-30 terms
- Additional 10% discount on 5,000 items
- Tax exemption on all purchases
- Additional discounts on specific book titles (book list to come)
- A dedicated customer service advisor
Eligibility
All Illinois Public Libraries with an active ILA Institutional Membership are eligible to opt in. After the webinar, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for the program or convert your existing Amazon Business Prime account to the complimentary one provided through ILA's partnership.
If you're uncertain about your library's membership status or have any questions about the program and partnership, please contact us at amazonbusiness@ila.org.
