ILA Legislative Meeting on February 6 in Chicago

Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)

October 29, 2016

(via Gwen Gregory, IACRL Past President)

I am coordinating one of the Illinois Library Association’s Legislative Meet-Ups, on February 6, 2017. This will be the first one held in Chicago. I am sure many of you would like the opportunity to talk with our state legislators about libraries. For more about how these Meet-Ups work, see this article by our colleague Sue Franzen of ISU.

We need volunteers to help organize the event. There is only one public library in the area covered, so we don’t have a wide variety of those colleagues to draw on. If you would like to work on this, please e-mail me at gregory_gwen@hotmail.com. You can register now. We hope to have a student discount available soon. The Meet-Ups are open to anyone who is interested, not just librarians.
