MLA Seeking Reviewers for 2017 Conference Proposals
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
September 2, 2016(via the Medical Library Association)
Do you want to review abstracts for papers, posters, lightning talks, and Special Content Sessions for MLA 2017? Fill out this Reviewer Interest form.
Reviewing will begin October 14, 2016 and end on October 28, 2016. It is anticipated that each reviewer will need to devote ~5-8 hours to reviewing during this time-frame. Reviewing will occur using an online system that can be accessed 24/7 during the review time-frame. You can sign up to review abstracts and also submit your own abstract and help your colleagues with their abstracts—the online reviewing system will not match reviewers with their own abstracts, and will also include a method for reviewers to recuse themselves from reviewing specific abstracts for any reason.
Online training on how to conduct reviews will occur in early October. The training will be recorded and made available online to all reviewers throughout the entire period of review. By filling out the Reviewer Interest form, you will receive an invitation to this training.
Please feel free to forward this message to your colleagues. All MLA members are welcome to participate in reviewing of abstracts. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please contact Jeff Williams at Jeffrey.Williams@nyumc.org or Emily Vardell, Section Council Liaison to the MLA ’17 National Planning Committee, at evardell@unc.edu.
