(via ALA)

Are you looking to get fully acclimated with ACRL’s newly-adopted Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, learn what each of the threshold concepts are, and determine how to incorporate them into information literacy instruction? Register for the “Keys to Teaching the Six Thresholds Concepts” workshop, which will take place on Thursday, August 4, starting at 1:30 PM CST and lasting 90 minutes. In this workshop, an experienced presenter and bestselling author in information literacy in the classroom, Joanna M. Burkhardt, will unpack the threshold concepts and translate them into practical application. She will give a brief overview of the six threshold concepts, while providing you with feedback on how you can create exercises that propel students toward, and across, those thresholds. By the end of the workshop, you should be able to connect Framework threshold concepts to practical instruction, in order to create your own Framework-based exercises; have learned instructional design basics; and have gained an overview of learning outcomes and assessments associated with the threshold concepts.

For more information, and to register, go here. The cost is $60.00 for one or two individuals and $120.00 for groups of three or more.
