Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
August 16, 2019(via Dan Bostrom, Reaching Across Illinois Library System)
This fall, in conjunction with the My Library Is campaign, RAILS and IACRL will co-host an online event to help academic libraries promote and articulate their value. To help with this event, academic librarians are invited to submit ideas for short presentations (10 min) regarding marketing and/or promotion efforts. These topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Making administrators/deans aware of the library's value
- Demonstrating the library's impact on student success
- Articulating the ways in which the library advances the missions/goals of your institution
- Ensuring that libraries are brought to the table when big institutional decisions are being made
- Making the faculty and other university/college staff aware of what the library can do for them
- Making students aware of what the library can do for them
If you would like to be considered to present, please e-mail Dan Bostrom, RAILS Member Engagement Manager, at dan.bostrom@railslibraries.info, with your idea by Friday, August 30.
