Apply for the MLA/Midwest Chapter First-Time Attendee Grant

Are you thinking about attending your first MLA/Midwest Chapter meeting? If you have a master’s degree in library/information science and have never attended a Midwest Chapter Annual Meeting before, apply for the Midwest Chapter/MLA First-Time Attendee Annual Meeting Grant. Free full conference registration and a $500 award are available to support attendance is available for one attendee. The Chapter’s 2017 meeting is scheduled for October 13-16 in Ypsilanti, MI.

To qualify, applicants must be the following.

  • a current member of the Midwest Chapter/MLA
  • a resident of one of the following nine states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, or Wisconsin
  • a holder of a master’s degree in library/information science
  • someone who has ever attended a Midwest Chapter Annual Meeting
