IACRL and CARLI Partner for Spark: Open Pathways on April 1
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
March 19, 2022by Christina Norton, Bradley University
The IACRL Conference and Continuing Education Committee is partnering with the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI) OER Committee to present the next Spark event: "Open Pathways - Exploring the Intersections of Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Open Educational Resources." This event will take place over Zoom on Friday, April 1st, from 10 AM to 12 PM.
The Open Illinois Hub is a hub created within the OER Commons to facilitate the creation, exploration, and sharing of open educational resources (OER) between academic libraries and other stakeholders across Illinois. A presentation during the first half of the event will highlight how this tool can be used by libraries to find and create OER materials, as well as promote OER initiatives at their own institutions.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to join “unconference”-style breakout sessions to discuss OER, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and where they may intersect. We hope these sessions will help answer questions, foster connections, and illuminate barriers and areas for growth within these domains.
Please complete the meeting registration form to attend. Library workers from all libraries in Illinois are welcome to attend!
