Position Changes & Job Listings in IL Academic Libraries: Fall 2021

Alissa Droog started at NIU as an Assistant Professor, Education & Social Sciences Librarian on April 1, 2020, but ended up working the whole last year remotely from Canada. She will finally be moving to Illinois in September!
As of June 1, Susan Franzen is the Interim Associate Dean for Public Services and Organizational Development at Milner Library, Illinois State University. She was previously the Nursing Librarian at Milner.
Emily Gilbert has accepted the position of Assistant Professor/Liaison Librarian to the College of Medicine at UIC and will start on November 22.
This August, Elizabeth Hollendonner moved from Visiting Library Instructor to Assistant Professor at Millikin University’s Staley Library, where she is Research and Instruction Librarian and Access Services/Electronic Resources Coordinator.
This semester, Jennifer Lau-Bond started as full time Library faculty and Coordinator of Library Instruction at Harper College.
Nestor Osorio has been appointed the head of the Reference and Research Department at Northern Illinois University Libraries
