As has been the case for many Illinois library groups, the Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) organization has had to adapt its programming, due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. HSLI is still in the process of determining whether holding an in-person meeting this year would be feasible. (The meeting is currently scheduled for October 27-29 at the Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center in Utica, IL.)

Should HSLI decide to pursue an all-virtual meeting, several continuing education opportunities should be available. To review the types of programming that last year’s all-virtual meeting featured, please go to the HSLI homepage, at http://www.hsli.org, and the Annual Conference page, at http://hsli.org/conference/. Continue to watch the website, including the Conference page, for updates as HSLI solidifies its plans for 2021.

If you are not a member of HSLI but would be interested in joining, information on the benefits of HSLI membership is available at http://www.hsli.org/membership/. Regular membership is $10.00 annually, and student membership costs $5.00 per year. The current HSLI President (2020-2022) is Cynthia Reynolds, University of Illinois Chicago’s Crawford Library of the Health Sciences-Rockford. Her e-mail address is cmreynol@uic.edu, should you have any additional questions about the organization and its activities.
