Committee Spotlight - Intellectual Freedom Committee

Intellectual Freedom Committee

February 20, 2020

Intellectual Freedom is a concept near and dear to our hearts.  Our Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee works to resist all attempts at censorship and serves as a ready brigade to assist you and your library with any challenges that may come your way!

This past year your Intellectual Freedom Committee

  • Hosted a great program at Annual Conference about social media, employment law, and local government
  • Crafted a statement about LinkedIn Learning and privacy concerns
  • Advocated for prisoners to have access to needed resources
  • Nominated a partner organization for the John Phillip Immroth Memorial Award

We would love to have you on our committee!  If interested, please fill out the interest form.
