The Roselle Public Library District seeks qualified and interested applicants for a full time Youth Services Department Manager. The ideal candidate will be: creative and collaborative; outgoing and motivated; organized with strong management and mentor skills; who is also community and customer service oriented. Applicants are expected to have an in-depth knowledge of youth services and public library best practices. As a part of the Management Team, the Youth Services Manager serves as a leader and role model for the entire Library.
This position offers a full health benefits package, IMRF benefits and pro-rated holidays. After a waiting period this position offers paid vacation, sick and personal days, and floating holidays. The Roselle Public Library District offers 12 weeks paid parental leave for all eligible employees.
Starting salary offer will depend on experience, competencies, and internal equity.

Requirements
MSLIS from an ALA-accredited institution; five years relevant library experience, particularly experience working directly with children and families; and one to two years supervisory experience, preferably in a library setting.
This position requires the flexibility to work days, evenings, and participate in the department’s weekend rotation as well as maintain some regular hours on desk.
