Requirements

Illinois Heartland Library System is seeking a cataloger to work out of our Champaign location. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing original and copy cataloging, database maintenance, authority control, and training and inventory support for libraries. The applicant will need to have proven problem-solving experience resolving cataloging problems and aid in database maintenance.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited library school and five years of original cataloging experience.
  • Experience cataloging in OCLC, Connexion, and Polaris highly preferred.
  • Three years of library administrative experience is preferred.
