Cyndi Robinson Named ILA Deputy Director
January 17, 2018
Cyndi Robinson has been named Deputy Director by ILA Executive Director Diane Foote, effective immediately. Robinson has served as ILA Conference and Continuing Education Manager since January 2000. She has also served the profession in a volunteer leadership capacity, from a role on her local public library's Friends board, to her recent term as chair of the American Library Association's Intellectual Freedom Round Table. Prior to her work with ILA, Robinson held the position of program manager, and then assistant director, of ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom. She earned a bachelor's degree in history from Loyola University Chicago, and a master of library and information science from Dominican University.
"This title change is in recognition of Cyndi's years of service, depth of knowledge, and breadth of responsibilities within the association," said Foote. "You all already know what exemplary member service Cyndi provides, and how very skilled she is in so many areas--she makes enormous enterprises, such as the Annual Conference, look easy!"
Please join us in congratulating Cyndi on this recognition.
