Are you a maker? Show us what you've got!

Calling all experienced library makers! We are seeking participants to show off their maker expertise, projects, and spaces in ILA's second annual Library Maker Showcase.  This showcase will take place during the 2014 ILA Annual Conference on Thursday, October 16, from Noon to 2:00 p.m. in the exhibit hall at the Prairie Capital Convention Center, Springfield.  We are looking for hands-on, interactive exhibits, where attendees can learn how to make or do something, play with concepts, manipulate things, and come away saying, "That was cool, I want to do that at my library."  Visit ila.org/2014 to submit a proposal.

Celebrate Illinois Authors

Help conference attendees discover Illinois authors and the books they have written.  Local authors will be scheduled in a special section of the exhibits to greet conference attendees and sell their books.  This interactive, face-to-face time offers an opportunity to kickstart conversations with authors.  Nominate your favorite Illinois author for the Illinois Author Showcase.  Authors may also self-nominate. Visit ila.org/2014 to nominate.

Calling all Library School Students!

We're looking for fabulous interns to assist at the conference. Conference interns will receive complimentary conference registration in exchange for their help.  Applications must be received by July 31. Visit ila.org/2014 to download the application.
