Nominate an IACRL Member for a 2021 ILA Award!
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
March 17, 2021Sara Benson, 2020 Crosman Memorial Award
Natalie Hall, 2020 Technical Services Award
Rebecca Ginsburg, 2020 Intellectual Freedom Award
by Christina Norton, Bradley University
Now is the time to recognize the efforts of excellent Illinois academic librarians by nominating them for ILA Awards and Scholarships.
- Do you have a new colleague who has made a large impact in a short time, deserving of the Crosman Memorial Award?
- A professional comrade who excels at providing reference assistance and could be a contender for the Reference Services Award?
- Or, perhaps, do you yourself need a scholarship for a conference or other opportunity?
The ILA website provides a list of available awards, including but not limited to those described above, with eligibility and nomination information included for each award or scholarship. It also includes profiles of last year’s winners. Maybe you or someone you know will be featured in the lineup for 2021 - but only if you take this opportunity to nominate them (or yourself!).
The deadline for most awards is May 15th. Questions about awards or the nomination process should be directed to ila@ila.org.
