Help Preserve Federal School Library Funding!

A "Dear Appropriator" letter is circulating in the US Senate urging full fiscal year 2020 funding for the Department of Education's Innovative Approaches to Literacy grant program (IAL), which funds school libraries via professional development for school librarians as well as collections and materials. Both Illinois Senators, Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin, recently signed such letters in support of IMLS's Library Services and Technology Act funding; so please thank them for that and ask them to do the same for school libraries! ALA has made it easy to send these messages here.
