Adult Services Librarian | Chatham Area Public Library District

The Chatham Area Public Library is seeking a tech-savvy, innovative, friendly, and creative Adult Services Librarian to join our team. This full-time (40 hours per week, non-exempt) position requires educating patrons on the resources and services offered by the library, assisting patrons in the use of library technology, utilizing collection development skills, conducting programming and outreach activities, and exploring partnerships with other organizations.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be flexible, show leadership and an eagerness to grow professionally, be reliable and take initiative, and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

  • A Master of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited university (or equivalent);
    at least 1-year experience working in a public library after the degree is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and writing skills
  • Experience working in a public library

Salary

Starting annual salary range of $47,000-$50,000 DOQ
