- Face masks will be required for anyone entering the conference and must be worn for the entirety of the conference except when eating or drinking.
-
Attendees are responsible for bringing their own masks. There will be no extra masks available for conference attendees. You will not be allowed to attend the conference if you do not have a mask, and you will not be refunded your conference fee.
-
Not all masks are created equal. Cloth masks should be at least 2 layers. This also allows for a placement of a filter between the two layers if desired. Surgical masks typically provide better protection. The CDC has advised that double masking (ie. wearing two masks) provides even greater protection.
-
Masks should cover the nose and mouth without large gaps.
-
The mask should have ear loops or ties so it can be adjusted to ensure a good fit.
-
For people who wear glasses, look for a mask with a bendable border at the top so it can mold the mask to fit the bridge of the nose and prevent glasses from fogging.
-
Specific restrictions: Face masks that have a pop-off valve, exhalation port or voice box, gaiters, and bandanas will NOT be permitted.
