The Champaign Public Library is seeking an energetic, friendly, creative person dedicated to inspiring a love of reading and learning in children to join our Children's Services team. Help plan and conduct children's programs and other library services to children, parents, caregivers, and teachers to ensure that the library plays a vital role in early literacy and education for children in our community.
Duties include creating programs of interest to children; developing relationships with schools and other organizations working with children; selecting and maintaining children’s collections; assisting customers of all ages with information and reference questions; providing reader’s advisory pertaining to children’s literature; instructing customers in their use of library technologies; and contribute to webpage and other publications.
Full-time (38 hours per week) with excellent benefits. Schedule includes evening and weekend hours.

Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
$27.97 per hour
