Programming Specialist - Adult Services | Champaign Public Library

The Champaign Public Library seeks a creative, energetic, and forward-looking individual to coordinate adult programming and large scale events at a vibrant and progressive library.  This individual will coordinate the Great Authors Series featuring best-selling authors as well as a variety of excellent programs.  The Programming Specialist builds partnerships with relevant community organizations and groups.  Please see our complete job description at champaign.org/jobs

Requirements

Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution preferred or equivalent education and experience acceptable.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, well-spoken, and have a strong ability to take initiative.  Public library experience preferred.  Candidate must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 40 pounds, assist with room setups, and push fully loaded carts of library materials.  Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.  Schedule includes evening and weekend hours.

56,653 annually ($28.67 per hour)
