Reference Services Forum

The Reference Services Forum wants you to get involved with the awards subcommittee.  Join colleagues in reviewing nominations submitted by librarians statewide.  If you can’t spare any time to serve, why not consider simply nominating an individual, group, or library to receive this peer reviewed award?

Nominees must demonstrate one or more of the following criteria: special or innovative programs or services; active service to the profession; cooperative presentation of programs to a community; reaching or affecting persons outside a local community by deed, idea or example.  Refer to the Awards and Recognition section of the ILA Handbook of Organization & Membership Directory for more information.

The Reference Services Forum will hold its awards subcommittee meeting on Thursday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. (CT) by conference call to discuss procedures for 2011.  Attendees can dial 1-218-229-3600 and use access code 839660# to enter the conversation.  Additional meetings of the Forum will be held on Thursday, April 21; June 16; and, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. (CT) and can be attended using telephone and access code listed above.
