Public Libraries Forum List-serv

The Illinois Library Association's Public Libraries Forum (PLF) is pleased to announce a new list-serv for librarians hosted by Prairienet at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The purpose of the Illinois Library Association's PLF list-serv is to:

Offer librarians a forum for discussion on a wide range of subjects.
Create an accessible resource of different solutions to the problems confronting the Illinois public library community.

Twice each month (starting on April 3rd), postings will appear on library topics. These topics will contain three to six specific questions designed to elicit responses, comments, or opinions. Respondents are asked to abide by Prairienet's Acceptable Use Policy and to exercise brevity, clarity, and creativity. These responses and comments will be archived for future reference by the library community. To subscribe to this list-serv, click here and follow the instructions.

Please let list owner Mary Wilkes Towner (mtowner@tufl.info) know if you have any problems or questions.

We are hoping to use this discussion group to communicate about programming ideas, performer recommendations, and other issues related to serving youth in the state of Illinois. Feel free to add to discussion threads and create new ones.
