Over the past 30 years, iREAD has grown to become a leader of Summer Reading Program development by providing libraries, large and small, with all of the resources they need to promote, launch, and execute great Summer Reading Programs.

To support your 2012 programming for Reading Is So Delicious! we have added even more full-color posters and a wealth of original graphics. The posters and the wonderful spot art were created by illustrators Barry Gott, Chris Eliopoulos, Lucy Knisley, and Patrick Girouard. All of these graphics are included on the 2012 Program Resource Guide CD-ROM.

Here’s How It Works!

The programming, developed by librarians for librarians, is contained in the Resource Guide and CD. It includes activities, games, art, reading lists and much more for children, teens and adults.

The products are organized as follows:

  • Prizes for Every Reader: Items that can be purchased in bulk and given to every child that participates in your program.
  • Incentives: Fun toys that can be awarded to readers as they progress through the summer.
  • Young Adults: This section showcases incentives for your teen readers featuring the YA theme and artwork.
  • Adults & Staff: Incentive products for your adult programming.
  • Tots: Sippy Cup and Finger Puppets for the little ones.
  • Library Resources: Decorations for your library. Also includes the Resource Guide and CD.
  • Shirts: Variety of T-shirts and a Bowling Shirt for all participants and staff.
